Sheppy’s Cider to host a cheese and cider tour

The nation’s biggest celebration of British food is approaching and Sheppy’s Cider is running a special cheese and cider tour at the Cider Farm, Taunton, Somerset, to mark the occasion.

British Food Fortnight 2024 takes place on the 20th September to the 6th October, and on Friday 27th September, David and Louisa Sheppy will give a special guided tour with an exclusive look around the Sheppy’s orchards, vat houses, where the ciders are fermented and aged and the press house.

The event is all about celebrating local food and beverage businesses and highlighting the joys of enjoying quality, fresh, seasonal, and regionally distinct produce.

Guests will also have the chance to experience the 200-year rich history and heritage of Sheppy’s Cider in the rural museum, and then finish the tour with a fully tutored tasting of five Sheppy’s award-winning Somerset ciders, paired with five local cheeses. There’s no better way to celebrate local British food!

The tour takes place on Friday 27th September 6pm until 8pm, and tickets are available online at the Sheppy’s website.
